How your data is handled

The short version: it's yours, it's private, and it never trains anyone's AI.

Is this a finished product?

No Straight Line is new and keeps evolving. Features may change and bugs happen. Please keep your own copy of anything important using the one-click download in Settings.

Is my story private?

Yes. Everything is private by default and protected so only your signed-in account can read it.

Is AI used?

Yes, for suggestions and drafts: finding strengths, shaping your career squiggle, and writing bios or interview answers. It only works from what you saved. It is told never to invent numbers, quotes, employers or outcomes, and never to describe a layoff or break as your choice.

Does my writing train any AI model?

No. Your entries are sent only to answer your request and are not used to train models.

What happens to my résumé?

The file is read on your own device. Only the text is sent to build a draft timeline, which you review before anything is saved.

Who can see my portfolio?

No one, until you publish it. Only the items you tick appear, and unpublishing removes access right away.

Can I take everything with me?

Yes. Settings has a one-click download of all your data.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Settings lets you permanently delete your account and all content.
